The UniVCC Privacy Policy applies to this website, to its registration and contact forms and to Thesis. It is published in full at univccoalition.org/privacy-policy ↗.

The Data Controller is UniPrisma Kft. (Révay köz 4, 1065 Budapest, Hungary), which operates UniVCC. The Privacy Policy sets out which personal data we collect through this website and at the Summit, why and on what legal basis, who receives it, how long we keep it, and your rights.

Spam protection. The waiting-list, contact and host-location forms on this website use ALTCHA, a check that tells people from automated programs. Your browser solves a small calculation (a proof of work) when you start filling in a form, and our own server checks the answer when you send it. There is no puzzle to solve and no third party involved: the check is issued and verified by UniVCC's own server (huddle.univccoalition.org, operated by UniPrisma Kft. and hosted by Clever Cloud in France). It sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. To issue and check it, our server processes your IP address and the technical data of the request briefly, to limit abuse; a used check is remembered for at most 20 minutes so it cannot be used twice, and it holds no personal data. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the forms free of automated abuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Analytics. If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 to measure how this website is used (pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser, how you arrived). Data is collected with cookies and a random identifier, not with your name or email, and IP addresses are not logged or stored by Google Analytics 4. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, and the ePrivacy rule on storing information on your device), which you can withdraw at any time through Cookie settings in the footer. Google Ireland Limited acts as our processor under a data processing agreement; it may transfer the data to Google LLC in the United States, on the basis of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses. We keep Analytics data for 14 months. We do not use it for advertising and do not share it with anyone else. Nothing is sent to Google if you decline. See the cookie page.

The Summit website

This part applies to the Summit website. The cookie policy of univccoalition.org is at univccoalition.org/cookie-policy ↗.

The Summit website uses one optional kind of cookie: Google Analytics cookies, which measure how the site is used. They are set only if you accept them in the cookie bar, and you can withdraw at any time with Cookie settings in the footer. We use no advertising and no tracking beyond that. The full list of cookies, their purpose and how long they last is on the cookie page.

The cookie that remembers your choice is called analytics, belongs to this website only, and lasts 182 days.

Typefaces. The Summit website serves its typefaces from its own server. It loads no fonts or images from third parties; the only third-party request is Google Analytics, and only after you accept. The forms, and their spam check, talk only to UniVCC's own server.

UniVCC Connect. UniVCC Connect, our participant platform, which you can use if you join it, is a separate service with its own cookies, local storage and cookie information, which apply there.

Spam check. The forms' spam check (ALTCHA, see the Privacy Policy above) sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser.

Local storage. The forms on the Summit website store nothing in your browser. Until 22 October 2026 the host-location form kept a draft of your answers in your browser's local storage under the name gurcs-host-response-v1; if you used it, that entry may still be on your device. It was never sent to us, and you can remove it by clearing site data in your browser.

If we add other optional tools to the Summit website, we will ask for your consent before they run and update this Policy.
